Company Introduction
PONS develops advanced technologies and scalable solutions for the health industry. Founded by two brothers, the company now delivers innovative services to clients worldwide. Its mission is to improve global healthcare access and reduce preventable deaths by building solutions grounded in real user needs. More information: https://www.ponstech.co/.
Project Overview
Patient Barriers to Healthcare Access
PONS offers an AI-powered ultrasound and patient‑monitoring software integrated into mobile ultrasound devices. Because many low-income and underserved communities lack access to medical imaging, portable ultrasound can enable preventive monitoring outside hospitals. Traditional ultrasound struggles with image quality and portability, but PONS’ device‑agnostic AI improves tissue contrast, reduces noise, and reveals features standard systems often miss. The project will analyze how healthcare access gaps align with PONS’ capabilities, whether the product meets real user needs, and what adaptations may improve adoption.
Project Focus
Identifying key barriers to frequent medical imaging.
Evaluating how current ultrasound solutions address these gaps.
Understanding why patients postpone or cancel appointments.
Assessing PONS’ relevance and usability for underserved groups.
Evaluating willingness to use and pay for affordable preventive ultrasound.
Analyzing reimbursement models covering remote care.
